Database Overview

Connect a database and enter a few parameters, which get stored on exit, so you can choose the database from a given list next time.

Storage Areas

Monitor storage areas, especially the file size of the last used extent, and get a script containing suggestions to alter your database structure.

Tables and Indexes

View all application tables in your database. Load statistics like number of rows, average record size and more. While querying the database for these values, smartDBcheck finds out whether your table along with it's indexes should be moved to another storage area.

Schedule table and index moves manually, or let smartDBcheck do it for you. Depending on your optimizing goals and the amount of data you can process per batch, smartDBcheck creates ready to use scripts to execute all scheduled moves in handy daily portions.

Preview Storage Areas Before/After Scheduled Moves

View your database by storage area before and after the scheduled moves. This feature enables you to make necessary changes of your database structure in advance.

Sequence Monitor

Monitor your sequences and be aware of shortages a long time before a sequence exceeds it's maximal value.

Settings

Your database independent preferences are stored on exit as well.

Assign Properties to all Objects

Assign comments to all objects in the object properties dialog. These properties are stored independent from the connected database
